Alternative ID provider targeting
Overview
Alternative ID providers have emerged in response to the ongoing deprecation of third-party cookies. These providers offer alternative methods to identify users, using so-called alternative IDs, sometimes also referred to as extended IDs.
Maestro supports alternative IDs in two ways:
- Targeting segments of users identified by an alternative ID from an alternative ID provider. For more information, see Configure alternative ID provider targeting.
- Applying frequency capping based on alternative IDs. For more information, see Create deals.
Access
To access alternative ID provider targeting, select Media Planning from the navigation menu. The alternative ID provider targeting options will appear in the Data marketplace section of the Targeting panel. You can also access alternative ID provider targeting directly from the line item page. For more information, see Create line item: targeting.
Configure alternative ID provider targeting
To target a segment of users identified by an alternative ID provider, follow these steps:
- In the Targeting section, expand the Data marketplace tab.
- In the Alternative ID provider section, select the alternative ID provider to be targeted.
The inventory insights are recalculated in real time, displaying the available volume for the selected segment of users. For more information, see Get inventory insights.
