Site list targeting
Overview
A site list consists of a selected collection of domains and apps that you can either include, indicating where ads will be displayed, or exclude, specifying where ads won't appear.
This grants you greater control over the environments in which your ads are placed, optimizing campaign performance and ensuring brand safety.

The Site lists dashboard contains the following information:
-
Status: indicates whether the site list is active or inactive. Only active lists are available for use in deals and campaigns. A new list is automatically set to active and remains so until manually deactivated.
The default view shows only active site lists on the dashboard. Use the Active or Inactive tabs at the top of the page to switch between views. - Type: defines whether the site list is used for inclusion or exclusion. An inclusion list restricts deals to the specified domains/apps; an exclusion list prevents deals from appearing on them.
- Name: reflects either the name entered during manual creation or the name of the imported file.
- Domains/Apps: displays the number of domains or apps included in the site list.
- Active deals: displays the number of active deals that are using the site list.
- Active line items: displays the number of line items that are using the site list.
Access
To access site list targeting, select Site list from the navigation menu. You can also access site list targeting directly from the line item page. For more information, see Configure domains and apps in bulk.
Configure a site list
To configure a site list, first, specify the domains and apps for your list and then determine whether they will be included in or excluded from your deals. You can either create a new site list from scratch or import one.
- Create a site list from scratch or import it.
To create a site list from scratch, follow these steps:
- Select + New site list.
- In the Name section, provide the name for your site list.
- Optional: Set a site list as default. For more information, see Set a default site list.
- Select the desired domains and apps. To display only the selected items, turn on the View Selected toggle.
- Select + Add to selected sites.
To import a site list, follow these steps:
- Select + New site list.
- Select + Import on the right.
- In the Add domains window, select Paste list or Upload list.
- For the Paste list option, paste the list into the text area. The items can be separated by a comma, or pasted one per line.
- For the Upload list option, select or drag a file.
- Specify the type of your site list, either inclusion or exclusion. ⚠️ Warning: You can only use a single site list, either for inclusion or exclusion purposes.
- Inclusion list: the deal is only shown on the added domains/apps.
- Exclusion list: the deal is never shown on the added domains/apps.
- Click Save site list.
The created site list will appear at the top of the Site lists dashboard and will be set to active by default.
Set a default site list
Setting a default site list allows company users with Admin permissions to designate specific site lists as the default for their company. This accelerates the deal creation process as the pre-set site list template is immediately available when creating a new deal.
You can set one or more default site lists, either with an inclusion or exclusion type. These default site lists will apply only to newly created deals and line items.
Configure a default site list
To configure a default site list, enable the Set as default site list toggle on a given site list.
Alternatively, you can set a site list as default directly from the Site lists dashboard. To do that, click the three-dot icon to the right of a site list and select Set as default. To reverse the action, select Unset as default.
When a site list is set as default, it will be marked with a star icon on the left in the Site lists dashboard. All users, not just administrators, can view which site lists are marked as default.
Each time you return to Media Planning and create a new deal, the default site list will automatically appear in the Supply section.
Manage a site list
You can edit a site list, deactivate a site list to temporarily put it on hold, delete it permanently, or set/unset it as default. To do that, click the three-dots icon on the right of a site list and select the relevant option.
A site list currently used in an active deal cannot be deactivated.
Deleting a site list is permanent; it cannot be restored. The list will no longer be taken into account in any active deals or campaigns.
