Connected TV (CTV) targeting

Overview

Connected TV (CTV) targeting allows you to target specific inventory to reach only CTV campaigns.

Access

To access Connected TV (CTV) targeting, select Media Planning from the navigation menu. The CTV targeting options will appear at the top of the Targeting section. You can also access supply targeting directly from the line item page. For more information, see Create line item: targeting.

Configure CTV targeting

To configure CTV targeting, in the Targeting section, enable the CTV toggle. 

As a result, you will automatically target ads under the following criteria: 

  • Device: Smart TV, Set-top box, Gaming console Note: You can select or deselect any of the available devices. If none are selected, the CTV targeting option will still apply to all three device types by default.
  • Environment: App 
  • Ad format type: Video in-stream 

All other targeting options will remain unavailable or optional. 

When you enable the CTV toggle, the inventory insights update in real time. For more information, see Get inventory insights.

To target both CTV campaigns and other inventory types not available in CTV targeting mode, first disable the CTV toggle. Then, manually choose the CTV criteria listed above, along with any additional inventory types you want to include.
