Get started with media planning
Overview
The Media Planning module presents the inventory of publishers using Equativ’s Monetization Platform (SSP) to potential media buyers, including estimates of available ad opportunities. Based on the output of media planning, media buyers can then create deals with optimal settings.
Media planning is solely used for inventory discovery, integrating with DSPs through deal IDs to enable programmatic transactions. Once a deal is created, it can be executed externally or directly within Maestro using a built-in activation tool, removing the need for third-party solutions. For more information, see Get started with activation. ⓘ Note: access to the activation solution isn't granted by default and must be requested for activation.
Access
To access Media Planning, log in to Maestro. The Media Planning module appears as a default view and can also be accessed from the navigation menu.
Workflow
The media planning process starts with browsing through the ad opportunities offered by Equativ’s publishers.
You can filter ad opportunities by publisher, domain/app, and by targeting criteria, such as geolocation, device type, ad format, or audience/contextual targeting. As you make your selections, various charts provide availability estimates and breakdowns, based on the bidding history for the criteria you selected.
Once you are done with the selection of the criteria, you create a deal with the selected criteria, retrieve its deal ID, and traffic it in a third-party DSP to launch the deal.
