    Overview

    The "Video parallax" creative template displays a piece of a background video ad while the user is scrolling. Video playback starts as soon as 50% of the ad's surface is visible.

    This section applies for the direct template version only.

    • Supported creative file (the same creative file is used for both portrait and landscape orientation): MP4, MOV, 3GP
    • The ad is automatically adapted to the width of the screen and the height is adjusted to preserve the aspect ratio.

    Creative template parameters

    Parameter Description
    OM verification script parameters The Open Measurement SDK verification script parameters.
    OM verification script URL The Open Measurement SDK verification script URL.
    OM verification script vendor The Open Measurement SDK verification script vendor.
    Parallax window aspect ratio

    Window aspect ratio through which the parallax banner will be visible. Possible values:

    • 1:1 (square)
    • 2:3
    • 9:16 (fullscreen)

    Default value: 1:1 (square)
    Third party impression pixels A comma separated list of URLs, called when the impression is counted by the SDK.

    Features

    Ads from insertions using this creative template must be displayed in a specially integrated banner view. This banner view must be in a cell of the app table view at least in a bottom position and react properly to the table view scroll events. To enable the parallax effect, the banner should be able to scroll from the bottom to the top of the app.

    Player behavior

    The creative behaves as follows:

    • auto-play
    • loop playback
    • audio muted by default
    • volume button displayed to mute/unmute the ad
    • when the app’s table view is scrolled:
      • the video ad starts/pauses when at least 50% of the ad's surface is visible/invisible
      • a blurred background is added to fill the empty space

    Limitations

    • requires SDK version 8.1 or later
    • VPAID creatives not supported
