    Overview

    The "Video header (redirect)" creative template displays a video ad at the top of the screen and remains there when the user scrolls down.

    This section applies for the direct template version only. Supported creatives:

    • VAST URL (pasted into the VAST URL field – see creative template parameters below)
    • supported creative files contained in the VAST
      • MP4
      • MOV
      • 3GP
    • no VPAID supported.

    Creative template parameters

    Parameter Description
    OM verification script parameters The Open Measurement SDK verification script parameters.
    OM verification script URL The Open Measurement SDK verification script URL.
    OM verification script vendor The Open Measurement SDK verification script vendor.
    Third party impression pixels A comma separated list of URLs, called when the impression is counted by the SDK.
    VAST URL The URL of the VAST file that will be used by the insertion.

    Features

    Ads from insertions using this creative template must be displayed in a specially integrated banner view, which must be in the first cell of the app table view and react properly to the table view scroll events and to the banner close listener.

    Player behavior

    The creative behaves as follows:

    • auto-play
    • loop playback
    • audio muted by default
    • volume button displayed to mute/unmute the ad
    • close button to hide the ad when scrolling
    • when the app’s table view is on top, the video ad is displayed in a large aspect ratio
    • when the app’s table view is scrolled:
      • the video ad sticks to the top
      • the aspect ratio is reduced, depending on the scroll offset
      • a blurred background is added to fill the empty space

    Limitations

    • requires SDK version 8.1 or later
    • requires a specially integrated banner view – read the technical documentation
    • VPAID creatives not supported
