Overview

The advertiser creative workflow enhances operational efficiency by enabling cross-insertion bulk actions: you can create, edit and manage creatives on advertiser level and then assign them to multiple insertions in a single step. You can also conveniently propagate updates of advertiser creatives to multiple insertions.

About advertiser creatives and insertion creatives

Advertiser creatives and insertion creatives are separate creatives but function in a parent/child relationship. The insertion creative (child) can inherit settings from its associated advertiser creative (parent). However, you can also edit the insertion creative (child) independently, allowing for full flexibility.

Advertiser creatives primarily function as creative assets, while insertion creatives are the entity containing the targeting criteria based on the requirements of each insertion. 

Use cases

The advertiser creative workflow is useful in the following use cases:

• Batch create creatives across insertions: you create insertions without any creatives, for example via an order management system. Once the insertions are created, you can create your creatives on advertiser level and finally assign them to the insertions.
• Batch update creatives across insertions: You are using the same creative in multiple insertions and need to batch update it across all insertions. In this case, you can access the advertiser creative, edit it, and propagate the changes to all insertions.

Access

To access advertiser creatives of an advertiser, go to Campaigns > Advertiser creatives and select the desired advertiser as a filter. 

Advertiser creatives

The creative list shows the creatives of the given advertiser. The list includes both creatives that were created with the advertiser creative workflow directly, as well as the ones that are created automatically when a user adds a creative in an individual insertion.

Create new advertiser creative

Click the + New advertiser creative to create a new advertiser creative. For more information about the creation of creatives, see Add and manage creatives in insertions.

Assign advertiser creative to insertion

To assign an advertiser creative to insertions proceed as follows:

• Go to the advertiser creative list.
• Locate the advertiser creative. 
• Select ... > Assign to insertions.
• Select the desired insertions. This will create insertion creatives, functioning as child creatives of the advertiser creative (parent). 
• Click Apply.

Edit advertiser creative

To edit an advertiser creative, go to the advertiser creative list, locate the advertiser creative and select ... > Edit. Alternatively, click on the advertiser to display its insertion creatives and select ... > Edit at the top right corner if the page. 

To propagate the changes of an advertiser creative to the associated insertion creative, select the Apply changes to insertion creatives option and click Save. This will apply the changes to the associated insertion creatives, overriding their settings. Note that changes of the advertiser creative's format and weight settings are never propagated to insertion creatives.

Insertion creatives

Click on an advertiser creative name in the Name column, to view the insertions the advertiser creative is currently assigned to.

For each insertion creative that is associated with the advertiser creative, the following options are available from the "…" menu:

• Edit: edit the insertion creative. Make the desired changes and click Save to propagate the changes to the insertion creative. 
• Activate/deactivate: enable or disable the insertion creative. Alternatively, enable or disable the toggle in the Active column.
