Overview

Maestro is a platform that connects media buyers who are looking to purchase advertising space (demand side) with publishers who sell their ad inventory using the Equativ Monetization Platform (supply side).

It includes two main modules, that is, Media Planning and Media Buying, each designed to address different needs on the demand side, and is complemented by powerful troubleshooting and reporting tools.

The following is an overview of each module:

  • Media Planning: Media Planning is used to discover the supply from the Equativ’s publishers and forecast how many ad opportunities are available. It integrates with third-party demand-side platforms through a deal ID. We recommend it to customers who want to use third-party demand-side platform solutions.
  • Media Buying: Media Buying is used to discover the supply from the Equativ’s publishers and convert it into an actual campaign or a deal without the need of integrating with third-party demand-side platforms. We recommend it to customers who want to use Equativ as a demand-side platform.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting helps identify and resolve issues that might affect line item performance. It visually displays, with exact figures, where ad opportunities exit the auction process. Additionally, it provides detailed bid status statistics, offering valuable insights to efficiently address issues.
  • Reporting: Maestro offers a set of reporting tools designed for immediate and in-depth analysis, including Instant Insights for real-time results, Instant Report Builder for comprehensive statistics, and report lists for a detailed overview of all reports.

Access

To log in, go to Maestro and enter the email address associated with your account and your password. Alternatively, click Log in with Google if you have a private or corporate Google account. For this single sign-on (SSO) mechanism to work, the email address associated with your Google account must be identical to the email address associated with your account at Equativ.

Troubleshoot login problems

The following are the most common login problems encountered in the Maestro platform, along with recommended solutions for each:

  • Blank page: when you have logged into the Maestro platform, but the page is blank, it might mean that you have an ad blocker turned on blocking smartadserver.com. To resolve this, disable your adblocker, or alternatively, allow the smartadserver.com domain in your ad blocking software.
  • "Could not authenticate" message: if you see this error message, it probably means you have saved the login page to your browser bookmarks. To resolve this, access the platform through https://buyerconnect.smartadserver.com/.
  • 400 bad request: if you see this error message, try clearing your cookies. To clear only Equativ's cookies in the Chrome browser, go to chrome://settings/siteData and delete the cookie for buyerconnect.smartadserver.com.
  • Unable to click "Accept" in the "Terms and Conditions" window: ensure you aren't trying to connect using the "Terms and Conditions" URL. If you are trying to connect with this URL and you have already accepted the terms and conditions, the Accept button will be disabled. Try to connect through https://buyerconnect.smartadserver.com/.
  • Network Issue: if you encounter the message "The server cannot be reached, there is a problem with the network", it might be due to an active ad blocker blocking smartadserver.com. To resolve this, either disable your ad blocker or whitelist the smartadserver.com domain in your ad blocking software.
