    Overview

    When you select an enhancement, you might need to configure additional parameters. The available parameters depend on the enhancement type and the inventory that it applies to:

    • Shared parameters: apply to all formats that the enhancement supports.
    • Additional parameters: apply only to CTV and OLV, display, or outstream formats.

    If a format doesn't have additional parameters, it uses only the shared parameters. Some enhancements, such as Captions, don't have shared parameters.

    Required parameters are marked with an asterisk (*). Some fields appear and become required only when you enable an associated option.

    Enhancement layout for instream CTV and OLV enhancements

    For enhancements that support CTV and OLV, layout controls appear under Additional Parameters > CTV and OLV. The available controls depend on the selected enhancement.

    Configure the following options where available:

    • Layout: defines where the enhancement appears relative to the video, such as Side Panel, Horizontal Panel, L-Shape, or Overlay. In the Layout section, select a layout card. Only layouts supported by the selected enhancement appear.
    • Position: defines where the enhancement appears within the selected layout, such as Left, Right, Header, or Footer. If a Position control is available, select a position button.
    • Theme: defines the enhancement's visual style. If a Theme control is available, select a supported theme, such as Light or Dark.

    For more information about available layouts, positions, themes, and defaults, see each enhancement's parameters.

    Preview an enhancement

    The Enhancement Preview panel has a tab for each supported format and updates as you change the parameters:

    • Display and Outstream: show a sample 300 × 250 slot.
    • CTV and OLV: play a sample video with the enhancement.

    This preview is for illustration only and doesn't show the creative that will run on this deal. The actual creatives aren't available at this stage, so we use placeholder creatives to show how your enhancement configuration could look. For display and outstream, we show it on a 300x250 and a 300x600 placement. Your enhancement can also run on many other placement sizes, and its layout adapts to each one. For CTV and OLV, we show it on a sample video. Your settings are applied the same way to the real video creatives that run on the deal. 

    Captions

    Available with: CTV and OLV, outstream.

    Dynamic captions display burned-in text on video ads so viewers can read the message when the sound is off. This enhancement uses AI-generated captions by default.

    Captions doesn't have shared parameters.

    CTV and OLV parameters

    The following table describes the CTV and OLV parameters for Captions:

    Outstream parameters

    No configuration is required. The enhancement uses the default settings.

    Countdown

    Available with: display, CTV and OLV, outstream.

    The countdown enhancement displays a live timer on your creative to build urgency for sales, events, or deadlines. All start and end dates and times use UTC. If the advertiser provides these values in a different time zone, convert them to UTC before use.

    Shared parameters

    The following table describes the shared parameters for Countdown:

    Advertiser name* Text input The advertiser name to display.

    End time Time input The target time when the countdown ends, in UTC. 
    Default: 12:00 AM.
    Headline text* Text input The headline displayed alongside the countdown. 
    Required when Show Headline Text is enabled.

    Language* Dropdown The language for the countdown display. 
    Default: English.
    Promoted by text* Text input The label displayed with the advertiser name. 
    Required when Show Advertiser Text is enabled. 
    Placeholder: "Ad by".
    Show advertiser text Toggle A boolean indicating if advertiser branding is visible. 
    Off by default. 
    When enabled, the Promoted by Text, Advertiser Name, and Advertiser Logo fields appear.
    Show headline text Toggle A boolean indicating if the headline text is visible. 
    Off by default. 
    When enabled, the Headline Text field appears.
    Start date* Date picker The date when the countdown begins, in UTC.
    Start time Time input The time when the countdown begins, in UTC. 
    Default: 12:00 AM.

    The following table describes the CTV and OLV parameters for Countdown:

    Include disclaimer Toggle A boolean indicating if the disclaimer is included.

    When enabled, the Text Color field appears.
    Text color HEX input The text color. 
    Available when Include Disclaimer is enabled.
    Default: FFFFFF (white).

    Display and outstream parameters

    Display and outstream use the shared parameters only.

    Weather - Daily outlook

    Available with: CTV and OLV, outstream, display.

    The Weather - Daily outlook enhancement displays a daily forecast and environmental indicators for the city where the ad is served.

    Shared parameters

    The following table describes the shared parameters for Weather - Daily outlook:

    Geo-targeting Country or Cities The geographic location for the weather data: Country or Cities. 
    Country mode displays a Country dropdown, defaulting to United States, and targets the selected country's 75 most populous cities. 
    Cities mode displays Selected Cities, supporting up to 75 cities.
    Language* Dropdown The language for the weather content. 
    Default: English.
    Temperature unit* Dropdown The temperature scale: Fahrenheit or Celsius.

    CTV and OLV parameters

    The following table describes the CTV and OLV parameters for Weather - Daily outlook:

    Headline

    Available with: display, outstream.

    The Headline enhancement adds text above or next to your creative to reinforce your message. Enter the headline text manually in Title, with optional supporting text in Description.

    QR code

    Available with: CTV and OLV.

    The QR code enhancement overlays a scannable code on your video or CTV ad that links to your landing page.

    The following table describes the shared parameters for QR code:

    QR code redirect URL* Text input The fallback URL used only when the creative's VAST tag doesn't include a clickthrough URL. 
    Prefilled with https://equativ.com. Replace the prefilled URL with your intended fallback landing-page URL.

    CTV and OLV parameters

    The following table describes the CTV and OLV parameters for QR code:

    Layout Layout selection The layout for the QR code: Overlay or Side Panel.
    Position Position selection The position within the layout: Bottom Left or Bottom Right for Overlay; Right or Left for Side Panel.

    Side Panel defaults to Light.

    Shoppable

    Available with: CTV and OLV, outstream, display.

    The Shoppable enhancement creates an interactive experience around your creative using product tiles and call-to-action buttons. Enabling or disabling the Is Overlay option changes the available parameters and supported formats:

    • Disabled: Shoppable supports CTV and OLV, outstream, and display.
    • Enabled: Shoppable supports CTV and OLV and display only. Outstream isn't supported.

    Shared parameters

    The following table describes the shared parameters available whether Is Overlay is enabled or disabled:

    Enable product level optimization Toggle A boolean indicating if product-level optimization is enabled. Automatically learns from product performance and optimizes which products are promoted.

    Is overlay Toggle A boolean indicating if overlay configuration is enabled. 
    Off by default. 
    When enabled, the available parameters change and outstream is no longer supported.
    Product feed Group select The product-data source: Static CSV, CSV Feed URL, or Catalog API. 
    The available fields depend on the selected source, as described in Product-feed configuration.
    Product order* Group select The product display order: In order or Shuffle.

    Product-feed configuration

    The following table describes the product-feed sources and their configuration fields:

    Is Overlay enabled

    When Is Overlay is enabled, the following changes occur:

    • Shoppable supports display and CTV and OLV only. The outstream parameters section disappears.
    • The shared CTA Button and Advertiser Groups disappear.
    • Product-feed, product-order, currency, and product-optimization settings remain available.
    • Always expanded appears under the Display subheading in Shared Parameters.
    • The format-specific parameters change to the controls described below.

    Additional shared parameters

    The following table describes the additional shared parameters when Is Overlay is enabled:

    The Sports ticker enhancement displays the latest scores and upcoming games. Configuration options vary by inventory type.

    Golf coverage is available through PGA Tour (Golf) in Teams, for CTV and OLV only. Golf is part of Sports ticker, not a separate enhancement.
